PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the traffic control system which can perform signal control without any error by accurately and speedily judging traffic congestion and effectively avoid the traffic congestion by accurately calculating an optimum path by a navigation device. SOLUTION: The navigation device 11 receives total traffic information sent from a beacon device 14 and also answers and sends speed information from the speed indicator of an automobile 12 automatically so that the beacon device 14 receives it. A communication control part 21 gathers the speed information from the beacon device 14 only when a signal in the onward direction is in the blue state to calculate the mean. A centralized monitor device 13 gathers mean passing speed information on automobiles on respective roads from a communication controller 21, calculates time information on blue and red according to the gathered information and supplies the result to a signal controller 22 to calculate mean signal wait time information at an intersection, and informs beacon devices 14 to 17 of its together with the means passing speed information calculated by the communication controller 21. |
