<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform good operability and prevent wrong operation by users by lowering a tray bottom plate with manual operation only when sheets are set. SOLUTION: In a laser printer, a feed tray 1 is provided with a tray bottom plate 3 energized upward by a spring 4 for sheets 2 to be pressed against a feed roller 5. A sheet cover 20 also used for a facing cover is provided on the side face thereof to be freely open/closed. When the sheet cover 20 opens, a cam 23 pushes the tray bottom plate 3 down and, when the sheet cover 20 is closed, the cam 23 is separated from the tray bottom plate 3 which is set free.</p> |
