PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make effective use of an empty space in a device by strong waste toner, discharged from a developing device, into empty spaces in pipes used for obtaining a mechanical strength for an image forming device. SOLUTION: Each component composting the image forming device is disposed inside the armor cover 10 of the image forming device. Also, inside the armor cover 10, the pipes 11 composing a frame for obtaining the mechanical strength for the image forming device are provided along the ridgelings of it. The empty spaces in the pipes 11 are used as a toner bottle for storing the waste toner discharged from the developing device 4. Between the toner discharge port of the developing device 4 and a recovery hole made in the pipes 11, a toner discharge pipe is connected. The toner discharge pipe incorporates a toner discharge auger which rotates in conjunction with the waste-toner discharge auger 4c of the developing device 4, and the waste toner in the developing device 4 is recovered into the pipes 11 via the toner discharge pipe. |
