PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to definitively recognize a person or an object caught by a sliding door by stopping or reversing the traveling of a sliding door when a slow speed start signal is not detected within a sliding door travel setting time by normal operation speed. SOLUTION: By magnets 16, 17 provided at the sliding door 14 and reed switches 19, 20 provided in a traveling passage for the sliding door 14, a slow speed start signal during release and a slow speed start signal during closing are generated. After release or closing operation start of the sliding door 14, the sliding door 14 is traveled at the normal operation speed, and after receiving the slow speed start signal during release or the slow speed start signal during closing, the sliding door 14 is traveled by slow speed operation. At this time, if the slow speed start signal during release or the slow speed start signal during closing is not detected within a sliding door travel setting time by normal operation speed, then the travel of the sliding door 14 is stopped or reversed. Because of this, any person or any object caught by the sliding door 14 can be definitively recognized thereby assuring the safety. |
