PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute correct adjustment of valve timing without being influenced by static friction and the like. SOLUTION: Basic control current IBC supplied to an actuator is calculated on the basis of relative rotational angle deviation between the present relative rotational angle VT and a target relative rotational angle VTT found out from a parameter showing driving conditions (step S105). Then, a dither signal is superposed on the basic control current IBC, and control current Ic for controlling a VVT (valve timing control mechanism) is calculated (step S107). Forcible minute vibration is applied to the VTT by this dither signal, and the errors of a control rotational angle by a hysteresis phenomenon generated by frictional fluctuation and the like, can be solved. Hereby, a phase advance amount or a phase lag amount when the valve timing of the VVT is changed which corresponds to the change of a control duty ratio, can be extremely correctly controlled.
|
