PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character recognition device capable of matching the sizes of respective second and succeeding characters with the size of the character inputted first by handwriting, that is the size of the character that a user starts writing to make it a normal size. SOLUTION: When the first character is inputted by handwriting by using a pen (S110), the size of the first character is stored (S170), then the character is recognized and converted to a character code (S170) and the character is displayed (S180). Then, when the second and succeeding characters are inputted, the size of the character is compared with the stored size of the first character (S142), and when the difference of the sizes is less than a fixed value (S144, Yes), the size of the second and succeeding characters is recognized as the same as the first character, conversion to the character code is performed (S170) and the second and succeeding characters are displayed (S180). |
