PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a flywheel approach an internal combustion engine main body so as to enable stable support by arranging a lubricating oil pump which rotates by a crankshaft downward the flywheel. SOLUTION: An upper end of a driving shaft 12 is spline-fitted to a connecting member 79 mounted on a lower surface of a flywheel 76 which is fitted integratedly with a lower end of a crankshaft 30 by a bolt 78. An oil pump body 82 of a trochoid type lubricating oil pump 81 is mounted on a lower surface of a cylinder block 21 and a crankcase 20 of the crankshaft 30 which is rotatively driven by a starter motor, and a rotor 83 is fitted integrally with the connecting member 79. A pump chamber 84 of the lubricating oil pump 81 is tightly closed by a lid 85, an intake pipe 88 whose upper end is connected to an intake port 86 opened downward extends downward in an oil pan 6 penetrating a return oil hole, and a strainer 89 is connected to its lower end. |
