PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a piezoelectric porcelain sintered body having an improved flexural strength even when having a tungsten bronze type crystalline structure including niobium and lead, and thereby, improved so as to be used as a piezoelectric ceramic element in a use requiring a mechanical strength without a problem. SOLUTION: This piezoelectric porcelain sinter consists essentially of a porcelain component having a tungsten bronze type crystalline structure containing niobium and lead such as lead niobate, and contains a glass phase as the secondary component. Preferably, the content of the glass phase is <=5% and the glass phase contains at least one kind selected from boron, lead, potassium, sodium, lithium, calcium, barium, aluminum and bismuth, and silicon. |
