PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the evaluation of sound accurate and to facilitate countermeasure for psychological annoyance in the device for evaluating the oppressive sound, which is the constituent sound of noise. SOLUTION: The noise obtained by an evaluation-object-sound pickup means 1 undergoes frequency analysis in a frequency analysis means 2. At this time, the frequency region is divided by a frequency-region dividing means 3 in correspondence with the noises source. The pure sound component is removed beforehand by a shock-sound removing means 4 for enhancing the evaluation accuracy in the respective frequency region. Thereafter, the analyzed frequency waveform is approximated by a plurality of straight lines in the frequency logic axis in an approximation means 5. The sound of the obtained region is evaluated by a physical quantity computing means 7. Furthermore, the analyzed frequency waveform approximated by the straight lines is reproduced by an artificial sound forming means 6. The reproduced sound is evaluated with the physical quantity computing means 7. Thus, the effect of the other constituent sound is not received, and only the oppressive sound can be evaluated. |
