<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball which is strong to wind, provides a lot of run and has a large carry by optimizing the lift coefft. and drag coefft. of the golf ball defined by a specific lift and drag function model with good balance. SOLUTION: When the first term of the lift coefft. of the golf ball having many dimples on its surface is defined as CL1 and the first term of the drag coefft. as CD1 , CD1 is in a range of 0.175 to 0.220 and CL1 /CD1 in 2.60 to 3.30 and CL1×CD1 in 0.110 to 0.145. When the lift coefft. is defined as CL and the drag coefft as CD, CL is in a range of 0.140 to 0.190, CD in 0.210 to 0.255 and CL/CD in 0.640 to 0.730 during flying at a ball speed of 65m/s and a spin of 42rps.</p> |
