摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate defective display caused by alignment defect occurring on liquid crystal molecules between pixels electrodes. SOLUTION: When this device is configured so that pixel electrodes 6 formed on a thin film transistor(TFT) substrate 12 have a structure formed further on a planarization layer 9 formed on the TFT and the signal wiring, separation recessed groove 11 is formed on the flattened layer 9 between the pixel electrodes 6. Further, defective display is eliminated by aligning the molecules of the liquid crystal 3 in the area always orthogonal to the substrates 1, 2 by means of forming a vertical film 7 in the bottom of the separation recessed groove 11 and a substrate area opposed to the area.</p>
