摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the discrimination and evaluation of natural C. sinensis by performing discrimination through the use of aβ-methyl aspartic acid as an indicator. SOLUTION: Aβ-methyl aspartic acid is measured by an amino acid analytical method such as an amino acid meter, high-speed chromatography, gas chromatography, thin layer chromatography, paper chromatography. There are no special limitations on operation conditions such as a column packing, column temperature, mobile phase, mobile phase flaw rate. A discriminatable sample is natural C. sinensis, cultured one, its analogous one, etc. As this method is a physical and chemical analysis using aβ-methyl aspartic acid as an indicator, not only a primary crude dug and a crude drug powder but one which has no trace of the original form of a crude drug such as an extract, a culture, a formulation formed of them as raw materials are discriminatable. In this way, it is possible to perform reliable and simple evaluation without the need for longtime experience and intuition such as a morphologically discriminating method.
