PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain production promoter of a volatile fatty acid of ruminant facilitating the efficient production of milk and beef, by controlling the production of methane in bovine rumen by making the production promoter contain an anthraquinone compound as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: This production promoter of a volatile fatty acid of ruminant facilitating the efficient production of milk and beef by ingesting feed by controlling the production of methane in bovine rumen by methane bacteria is obtained by formulating an anthraquinone compound such as not-substituted anthraquinone, 1-aminoanthraquinone, 1-chloroanthraquinone, 2- chloroanthraquinone, 2-chloro-3-carboxyanthraquinone, 1-hydroxyanthraquinone and 9, 10-dihydroanthraquinone. |
