PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve abrasion resistance and seizure resistance by providing a plural number of slots extending from a rear portion of a portion to be the minimum oil film thickness of a sliding bearing to a front portion in parallel in the circumferential direction at the time of rotating an axis. SOLUTION: Lubricating oil 5 flows as an arrow (a) along a plural number of slots 6 provided in a clearance formed between a bearing metal 1 and an axis of rotation 4 and in the circumferential direction of an inner peripheral surface when the axis 4 is rotted while receiving supply of the lubricating oil 5. Hereby, the slots 6 are formed to a front portion of a portion A to be the minimum oil film thickness (Hmin.) and reach an end part 6a. The lubricating oil 5 runs over a head end surface of the end part 6a of the slots 6 and forcibly flows in between the slots 6 and the axis 4 as an arrow (b). The axis 4 is pushed up in the radial direction and the minimum oil film thickness is increased by pressure of this lubricating oil 5 flowing in. Additionally, it is possible to support an axis load by an extensive area of an overall inner surface of this portion by slots the portion A a smooth inner surface without the slots 6 provided on it. |
