The method for the manufacture of packaging material from apackage of paper sheets consists of longitudinal folding of thesheets, moving of the folded paper package, plaitinf of paper (2)and connection of the folded paper by the application of pressurein a series of points. The operation folding, shifting, plaitingand connection follow in this order and separately from eachother. Cheaper paper (2) can be used in the machine for themanufacture of packaging material by the method, mainly recycledof inferior quality where no conditions for initial tearing areset.13 claims, 5 figures
