Spinnaker sail cloths (7.1, 7.2) are secured to the bottom corners (7.3) of a sail. The boom can be swung between the port and starboard side of the yacht (1), and comprises an inner boom (6.2) rotatably mounted at one end in a fitting and rotatably secured at the opposite (outer) end to an outer boom (6.3) via a link piece (8). The middle region of the outer boom is attached to the link piece and the outer boom can be rotated in a horizontal plane to enable it to be rotated at right angles to the inner boom and allow the entire spinnaker boom to be swung past the mast mounting. |
