The seat/lying furniture comprises a seat section (3), a seat back section (4) and a foot support (5) that is coupled together with the body/shell (1). Positioning of of these sections, preferably of the seat section, from the base position in the rest position is achieved by, ideally, means of a positioning drive (6). In the lying/reclining position or back in the base position, both of the other sections are adjustable in the analogue position.The seat section may be slidably and rotatably held, on the body, in the vicinity of its front and back ends via linking rods (8,9). The seat back section may be rotatably held, via linking rods (10,11), on the body and on the back end of the seat section. The foot support may be held, via a linking rod (12), to the body and/or the front end of the seat section. The positioning drive may be held on the body, whose positioning member (7) has a linking rod (9), with the seat section, to pin any adjustments
