The invention concerns a ball bearing comprising a slit outer ring (1) with contiguous edges (6a, 6b), a concentric inner ring (2), ball races (5e, 5i) formed on both rings (1, 2) and a plurality of rolling bodies (3) set in contact with said ball races (5e, 5i) and in which a lubricant (10) takes up the internal volume of the ball bearing between said rolling bodies and rings (3, 1, 2). The invention is characterised in that the ball bearing internal volume is taken up by a lubricating (10) ring known per se which encloses the rolling bodies up to the proximity of their contact point with the ball race and constitutes a ring-shaped chamber which opens onto the contact point of the side surfaces of the bearing.
