The attachment has a frame (1) which is mounted on the rear of the tractor by a conventional three point fixing system (2). The soil processing tool (9), e.g. a rotovator, is mounted on a horizontal bracket (8). A rear roller (5) is mounted on a hinged arm (3), which pivots (4) on the frame (1). The roller arm can be raised and lowered by a hydraulic cylinder (7). Also pivoted on the frame is a sensing arm (17) with a ground surface detector plate (18). If the detector plate drops below the expected ground level (19), the arm (17) operates a sensing switch (20). The roller can then be raised clear of the ground surface.
