The procedure consists in transversely connecting the uprights (11,21) of two hydraulic lifters (10, 20) by a variable length beam (30). This beam is connected to the fixed part of the chassis by fitting arms (32, 33) into hollow sections (61, 62). The ends of the lifting arms (13, 23) are connected by a variable length cross member (40) supporting the tool carriers (50). The fixing legs (12, 22) of the lifters remain fixed on the variable track parts (63, 64) of the chassis (60).
