Multi-wheeled bogie for non rail mounted mobile crane

The bogie supports one leg of a mobile crane, and comprises a beam (1) which carries at least four wheels (3), and which is attached to the crane by a pivot (8), the axis of which is horizontal and normal to the direction of travel of the crane. Pairs of wheels are mounted coaxially on yokes (2), which are separately attached to the beam and are free to pivot about a common horizontal axis (4) parallel to the direction of travel. The wheels can have solid rubber tyres, and some or all wheels can be hydraulically of electrically driven.
