RADIO-FREQUENCY COIL ARRAY FOR RESONANCE ANALYSIS

An RF coil array which includes first (1) and second (2) RF coils that are overlapped to eliminate their coupling through space. This overlap results in zero mutual inductance between the two coils. A third coil (3) is added to the array which connects the first and second coils such that there is no net coupling between the first two coils through the third coil, and in which all three coils are well isolated from one another at the resonance frequency or frequencies of interest.
