A frame for flat sifters and a process for producing the same are disclosed, in particular for miller's flat sifters. The object of the invention is to improve the operation of an insert frame and to make it easier to produce. For this purpose, the frame (1), including its transverse bars (2), is produced in a single piece (and in a single operation) from PUR foam, surrounding the sieve screen (4). The frame (1) preferably contains a metallic core (3).
