PLUG-IN CONNECTION FOR CONNECTING MODULAR PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARDS TO A WIRING BACKPLANE

The blades (4) are placed on the side of the modular printed circuit board (1) and the contact springs (5) are located on the side of the wiring backplane (2). The blades (4) are thus held and surrounded by injected plastic in a plate-like male connector strip (3) which is perpendicular to the modular printed circuit board (1). The extensions of the blades pointing to the modular printed circuit board (1) are connected to the modular printed circuit board (1) by surface-mount technology. The contact springs (5) consist of a bent spring sheet steel rotational member with two contact legs, which are inserted in holes (6) in the wiring backplane (2). SMT can be used in the inventive plug-in connection.
