<p>The invention detects the presence of telomerase activity by employing a test nucleic acid sequence that is employed as a substrate by telomerase for addition of telomeric repeat sequence. The detection of the elongation sequences indicate the presence of telomerase activity. In addition, the methods of the invention can be utilized to determine the inhibitory or enhancing effect of a compound on telomerase activity.</p> |
