With construction of the crane system as a slewing pillar crane with a horizontally pivoting and variable length boom(10) the service shaft(6) with regard to its location, clear cross section and rigidity is dimensioned and constructed that it forms both the pillar of the crane and also the means for ventilation of the engine room(1), and also serves for the abandonment of the engine room through the escape hatches(11).
