Transportable testrig simulating terrain encountered by motor vehicles

A transportable testrig which simulates the varying terrain encountered by motor vehicles particularly the AND all-terrain types has a box container construction and when set up for tests stabilised by the main props (8) provides paired upper tracks (2), steering lock gauge (3) and a transverse-tilt table (not shown). The tracks (2) have variable height via the corner hydraulics (13, 14, 15) and are accessed via the ramps (17, 18). The sides (9, 10) pivot into a horizontal position supported by the struts (19) to provide separate platforms for (a) the steering gauge assemblies (3) which are hydraulically adjustable for height (28) and offset position with access by the ramps (33); (b) the tilting table (not shown) which has hydraulic adjustment of tilt and anti-roll safety restraints.
