Making segments of core-free cross beams

The cross-beam segments (5) have two faces (8) at right-angles to each other. They also have a third face (9) which is cut across the corner in part. The segments can also be cut across on a fourth side. The segments are dried. Prior to drying the segments can be profiled into quarter pieces according to the screen pattern required.
