Tensioner for cargo net in vehicle

The cargo net, or separating net between the rear boot space and the seats inside a vehicle, is pulled into the blocking position by a central tensioner operated by a single knob (18). This operates on a tensioning sleeve (68) to which the tensioning cord is attached. The spring loaded drive includes a Hirth gearing (24,40) which is disengaged by a central push button (56) and pressure shaft (27) to release the net. The whole system is operated single handed using a compact drive unit. The unit is fitted in a central position inside the vehicle ie. on a cross frame.
