FERROALLOY PRODUCTION PROCESS

FIELD: ferroalloys. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferroalloys and other alloys designed for producing low-alloyed and specifically alloyed steels and alloys. Technologically simple method for producing high-quality ferroalloys is developed with elevated recovery of base metal and using, as charge, industrial production wastes in oxide form. Optimum proportion of charge materials being loaded into furnace is found: percentage of oxide-reduced material constitutes 50-70% based on weight of charge and is fed for smelting portionwise in amount 20- 25%, each next portion being fed after reduction of metal being isolated in preceding portion is terminated and slag discharged. EFFECT: simplified metal isolation process.
