A device (10) and method for framing articles (12) such as photographs, certificates and the like is comprised of a sheet-like frame (14) having a viewing side (16) and a reverse side (18). Single-sided tape (20) adheres to the reverse side (18) of the frame (14) and a layer of static-cling film (22) having first and second surfaces (24, 26) is positioned so that the first surface (24) is in contact with the tape (20). An article (12) having a display face (28) adheres to the second surface (26) of the film (22). The device (10) with article (12) affixed and framed is capable of being mounted by using static-cling film (22), double-sided tape (30), or a tack (34), depending upon the type of surface to which the device (10) is to be mounted. Several versions of the device (10) and method for framing articles (12) are disclosed. Such device (10) and method facilitate quick, inexpensive framing of photos or the like particularly when such articles (12) are planned to be displayed more or less temporarily. |
