Cryogenically storing gas (mixture)

Process for cryogenically storing a gas (1) or gas mixture(2) from a refinery comprises liquefying the gas (mixture) and cooling, and then injecting into cryogenic storage vessels (5,6a,6b). The boil-off gases (38,22a,22b) from the vessels are re-liquefied by cooling. The same coolant is used for cooling the gas (1) or gas mixture (2) from the refinery before injecting into the storage vessels, and for re-liquefying the boil-off gases (38,22a,22b). An apparatus for storing the gas (mixture) is also claimed.
