Stiffening component for stiffening flexible containers

The stiffening component has at least one flat longitudinal rib(2) and at least one flat transverse rib(3). The longitudinal and transverse ribs are interconnected to stand perpendicular to each other in a first relative position, and in a second relative position lying flat to each other, or to save space stowed separately from each other in or on the container. The longitudinal and transverse ribs are fitted together by means of corresponding slots(4,5).
