<p>The vehicle engine crane comprises a base (A) consisting of a chassis with two spaced arms (1) on the ends of which are wheels (3). There are also two lateral stabilisers (32) which are adjustable, and a single drive wheel (4) mounted at the foot of a steering lever (5,6) by which the unit can be manoeuvred. Above the chassis there is a framework (8) made of tubular metal supporting a section (9) within which a structure (B) is articulated. This structure includes two supports (12,13) which in turn carry the main lifting arm (17) via articulated joints. The main arm is extended by two further sections (19,24). Energy is provided by two rechargeable batteries (36) powering an electro-hydraulic unit which operates a jack (33) to lift the crane jib.</p> |
