An arrangement for leading a strip of foil into a processing machine having guide rolls 3, comprises a driven traction belt 5 closely adjacent the rolls along at least one side, and deflected therearound by a number of guide rollers 11 positioned along a arc and a profile 13. A clamp 14 is secured to the belt and extends across the surface of the rolls for the leading edge of the foil.
