Improved results for the crimp seal closure of electrical devices can be obtaine d using apparatus which simultaneously performs the grooving (beading) and accordion (collapsing) steps. The invention is particularly suitable for devices having thin wall (eg. less than 0.3 mm thick) containers. The use of a cam shaped grooving wheel avoids the need of mechanisms to move the wheel axle during the grooving. |
