PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten preparing time and to improve workability by stopping a slide when it is raised to a prescribed position after punching, starting the slide when the feed of a coil feeder is completed, and lowering the slide. SOLUTION: When a slide is raised and reached to a position A on the upper side only by allowable raising distanceαfrom an upper face position C after lowering to an lower limit position L from the upper face position C in a prescribed speed set in a motion data, a starting signal is outputted to a coil line controller. With this, the coil feeder is begun to feed. Then, after this, the slide is stopped at the upper side position Q1 only by the distance added with an inertia running distance LBK from the upper face position C and an accelerating distance LAC, when the feed of the coil feeder is completed, the slide is re-started and lowered. On the result, the time for setting the slide starting position is not required, because the starting position is set automatically corresponding to the measured upper face position, the preparing time is shortened and the workability is improved.
