PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the starting time of an elevator and improve its comfortableness at startup. SOLUTION: A hydraulic elevator controller comprises a second control valve 20 interposed between a first hydraulic pump 8 and a main control valve 7, an accumulator 21 for accumulating therein high-pressure oil, a pressure detector 22 for detecting the oil pressure in the accumulator, a second hydraulic pump 23 for feeding pressure oil to the accumulator, and a second motor 24 for driving the second hydraulic pump. In starting an elevator, the accumulator feeds high-pressure oil to a hydraulic cylinder for the elevator by way of the second control valve. In that state, the second control valve controls the quantity of the pressure oil fed therethrough based on the oil pressure value detected by the pressure detector. Upon a drop in oil pressure of the accumulator below a preset value, the second hydraulic pump feeds pressure oil to the accumulator. |
