PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin compsn. for a toner excellent in fixation, anti- offsetting property and preservability and hardly causing the stain of a document feeder and to obtain a toner using the resin compsn. SOLUTION: This resin compsn. contains a vinyl copolymer contg. <=25wt.% copolymer having a mol.wt. of >=200,000 and 3-10wt.% ethylenic olefin polymer having the peak value (m.p.) measured by DSC in the range of 85-100 deg.C and 10-17cps melt viscosity at 100 deg.C. The wt. average mol.wt. of the olefin polymer is 500-900 and the number average mol.wt. is 500-900.
