PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the internal structure furthermore by disposing an inner air duct, an outer air duct and a composite heat-exchanger such that the inner air heat-exchanging section is located above the outer air heat-exchanging section. SOLUTION: When fans 8, 9 and a compressor 3 are operated in an air- conditioner, heat of condensation of high temperature coolant delivered from the compressor 3 is transferred to the outdoor air flowing through an outer air duct 21 at the outer air heat-exchanging section 23 of a composite heat- exchanger 24 before being discharged to the outside. Heat of evaporation of coolant, subjected to pressure reduction through a capillary tube 5, is transferred to the indoor air flowing through an inner air duct 21 at the inner air heat- exchanging section 23 of the composite heat-exchanger 24 in order to cool the indoor space. Since the composite heat-exchanger 24 can function both as a condenser and an evaporator, the structure is simplified and productivity of assembling work is enhanced through reduction in the number of components. |
