PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To house the surplus part of a coated optical fiber without any wind ing tendency and without being applied with extra external force by simplifying connection wiring operation of an optical cable, thereby easily replacing and extending many coated optical fiber connections, and displaying bundling characteristics of a safe and superior cable connection part. SOLUTION: This cabinet is provided with a support part 10 which detachably supports the coated fiber connection part of an optical cable and a surplus housing part 11 which houses a surplus part extending from the coated optical fiber connection part and also provided with metallic grips 12 and 13 which hold the optical cable and its tension member put in the cabinet and extended up to the surplus housing part 11. Then the surplus housing parts 11 are provided on both the sides of the coated fiber connection part support part 10, and stacked and fixed to a base plate 15 and inserted into a surplus housing bracket 16 with a coated optical fiber lock part 14, and the cable and tension member metallic grips 12 and 13 are provided along the axis of the coated optical fiber lock part 14, so that connecting process handling is simplified and operability is improved. |
