A filter arrangement (10) is arranged across the flow path of a liquid in a tran sport chute or similar guide means (12). The filter arrangement comprises a filter (16) in the flow path of the liquid. The f ilter (16) is adapted to be adjusted in a direction extending obliquely upwards relative to the flow path of the liquid in the trans port chute or similar guide means (12). The filter has the lower roller (16d) rotatably mounted about a horizontal axis at the bottom o f the transport chute or similar guide means (12) and has the upper roller (16c) together with upper parts of the filter fabric pr ojecting upwardly above the flow path of the liquid. At the upper end of the filter a transverse transport arrangement (40,46) is arr anged for conveying filtered off solid material to a suitable emptying location.
