PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently discharge bubbles coming into an ink pressure chamber, and to improve printing quality. SOLUTION: A plurality of ink pressure chambers 24, orifice plates 19, each of which is arranged at the front end of each of the ink pressure chambers 24 and is equipped with an orifice 28 corresponding to the ink pressure chamber 24, and pressurizing devices, each of which pressurizes ink in each of the ink pressure chambers 24, are provided. The cross sectional area of the ink pressure chamber 24 is made smaller at the orifice plate 19 side. There is no difference in level between the front end of the ink pressure chamber 24 and the orifice plate 19. Therefore, as ink is sucked through the orifice 28 with cleaning applied in order to prevent the orifice from being clogged with the ink, bubbles coming into the ink pressure chamber 24 can be easily discharged to the outside of the ink pressure chamber 24 without allowing the bubbles to stay inside. |
