PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar battery having a structure which is improve in photoelectric conversion efficiency. SOLUTION: On the surface side of an n-type crystalline silicon substrate 10, a light-receiving surface having a texture structure 20 is formed, and on the rear surface side, p<+> -type Si layers 12 and n<+> -type Si layers 14 are formed alternately. The Si layers 14 are formed in V-grooves having triangular cross sections. In addition, positive electrodes 16 and negative electrodes 18 are formed, correspondingly to the Si layers 12 and 14, respectively. Since the V- grooves are formed on the rear surface side of the substrate 10, the average moving distance for electrons which are the minority carrier of the substrate 10 becomes shorter, and at the same time, the areas of the electrodes can be enlarged. Therefore, a solar battery having high photoelectric conversion efficiency an be obtained because the resistance of the electrodes are reduced. |
