PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a woven or a knitted fabric, having an appearance with a silky mild gloss and excellent in water absorptivity and warmth retaining properties. SOLUTION: This woven or knitted fabric is obtained by using a composite yarn prepared by applying real twists to (A) a fiber bundle comprising promix staple fibers having 30-110mm average fiber length and <=3 denier size and (B) a filament bundle comprising promix filaments having <=5 denier size at a ratio within the range of (30:70) to (70:30) expressed in terms of wt.% so as to mutually twine.
