SOLUTION: Required working hydraulic pressure PA corresponding to the transmitting torque of joint side friction element at starting inertia phase is obtained, and the operation characteristic of an actuator is corrected so that the required working hydraulic pressure PA at starting the inertia phase and the command value to a duty solenoid (duty D) at starting the inertia phase corresponding to each other. Consequently, even if the operation characteristic of the actuator generates dispersion or changes, the required working hydraulic pressure of the friction element on the joint side and the command value of the actuator correspond to each other, as a result, even if the operation characteristic of the actuator generates dispersion or changes, there is no possibility that the joint capacity of the friction element becomes excessively large or excessively small during the torque phase.
