Method and system for inspecting a fluid flow, e.g. in an oil or gas well, comprising emission of an acoustic signal, preferably with a frequency in the ultrasound range, along an axis from an acoustic source at a first position. Scattered acoustic signals are received using at least one first receiver positioned at a distance from the axis of the emitted signal, and thus measuring or detecting acoustic signals scattered or reflected sideways in the fluid flow. |
