PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provided an optical transmitter which is capable of easily changing combination between the output light of a light source, having plural wavelength and plural data signal trains to modulate the output light. SOLUTION: In this optical transmitter provided with N pieces of light sources 21 to 2N emitted by N pieces of drive circuits 11 to 1N, N pieces of light modulators 41 to 4N and drive circuits 51 to 5N which are fixedly connected to the light modulators and to input an electric signal for modulation, an N×N light switch 3 and a light switch control circuit 6 to control switchover of an input/output pass of the light switch 3 are provided between N pieces of light sources and the light modulators. The combination between a light signal from the light sources and plural data signals to modulate the light signals is arbitrarily changed by switching a connecting state of an input port and an output port of the N×N light switch 3 by the light switch control signal 6. |
