<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening and closure controller for a fallboard which enables the fallboard to be closed securely and gently and improves the outward appearance of a piano with the fallboard open. SOLUTION: This opening and closure controller controls the opening and closure of the fallboard fitted rotatably to an inner lid 3 and is equipped with a link mechanism 16 which has link bars 21a to 21c linked rotatably with one another and also has the link bar 21a on one end side fixed to the fallboard 1, a buffer unit 15 which is fitted to a case component and coupled with the link bar 21c at the other end of the link mechanism 16 and damps the fallboard 1 through the link mechanism 16 when the fallboard 1 rotates in its closing direction, a keyboard presser 7 which is provided adjacently to the inner lid 3 and has a cut 11 formed so as to evade interference of the link bars 21a to 21c, and a cover 17 which is provided integrally with the link bar 21c and covers the cut 11 of the keyboard presser 7 when the fallboard 1 is at its closure position.</p> |
