PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic device capable of facilitating the separation of a paper sheet from an image carrier. SOLUTION: The sleeve of a developing device 7 has two-stage construction and when the top end part of an image on a photoreceptor 1 faces a first sleeve 7a, a high bias is applied only to the first sleeve 7a and toner is electrified to a reverse polarity, to increase the quantity of the toner stuck onto a photoreceptor. This reverse polarity toner exists on the photoreceptor, so that the separation of a transfer paper from the photoreceptor drum 1 is facilitated. Further, a bias lower than that of the first sleeve 7a is applied to a second sleeve 7b, to increase the sticking of normal toner and prevent reduction in density in the top end part of the image. |
